The Champions Cup live at the o2 World Berlin

Like last year, ALBA BERLIN is to host the Beko BBL's Champions Cup at the o2 World Berlin on 27 September 2014. After winning the German Cup again last season, ALBA BERLIN is to meet the reigning German Champion FC Bayern München.

The team can look back on a successful season 2013/2014, in which they not only won the Champions Cup and the German Cup, but also reached the quarter finals in the Eurocup and became runner-up in the German Championship. Coach Sasa Obradovic, who renewed his contract with ALBA BERLIN for another year, and his team will not only be competing in the Beko BBL, but also in the Euroleague, Europe’s highest European tournament for Basketball clubs. In the group phase, ALBA BERLIN will face top teams such as defending Euroleague Champion Maccabi Tel Aviv and Final Four semifinalist ZSKA Moskau.

This season will also be the club’s 25th anniversary which will be celebrated with numerous activities and projects on and off the court. With a total of eight German Cups and the win of the pan-European Korac Cup in 1995, ALBA BERLIN is the most successful German basketball club of the past ten years. In 2008, ALBA BERLIN won its eighth German Championship.
