DESCRIPTION:The Puhdys, Karat, and City: Three of the most successful rock bands of the former GDR will perform at O2 World Berlin for a top-class concert evening on November 1st, 2014.With more than 4.500 concerts since their formation in 1969, 31 albums and 20 million records sold, the Puhdys can look back to a staggering success story. Their secret is a simple one: the true-to-life songs go straight to the heart. Their newest album "Es war schön" gained the highest chart position in the history of the band – another mile stone in the unique success story of the five musicians. Second headliner of the festival, Karat, are true rock veterans as well, with more than 10 millions sold records and a band history of 38 years. In 2010, Karat released their latest album "Weitergeh'n", another brilliant record which is marked by the unique mixture of rock music and classical elements which have made Karat one of the biggest German rock bands ever. The success of the band City started during the Seventies with the release of the song "Am Fenster".
