DESCRIPTION:Herbert Grönemeyer is set to return to the Uber Arena. Tickets for his show on 7 March 2019 are available now. Born in Göttingen in 1956 und raised in Bochum, Grönemeyer started to study musicology and law after his graduation but soon quit and instead decided to pursue his musical career: He became the musical director of the Schauspielhaus in Bochum. At first, he dedicated himself to acting and came to fame with his movie “Das Boot” in 1981. But music became more and more important to him so that three years later, he released his debut album “4630 Bochum” which became the most successful album of the year 1984. Since then, Grönemeyer has established himself as one of Germany’s best selling acts: He's the highest-grossing contemporary German musician with over 17 million records sold. Since 1984, 10 of his albums consecutively reached peak position in the German Charts.
