DESCRIPTION:He was the o2 World's National Opening Act in 2008 and now he is back to conquer the stage of the arena once again: Herbert Grönemeyer is set to play old classics and brand new songs on his Live-Tour on 13 May 2015. Born in Göttingen in 1956 und raised in Bochum, Grönemeyer started to study musicology and law after his graduation but soon quit and instead decided to pursue his musical career: He became the musical director of the Schauspielhaus in Bochum. At first, he dedicated himself to acting and came to fame with his movie “Das Boot” in 1981. But music became more and more important to him so that three years later, he released his debut album “4630 Bochum” which became the most successful album of the year 1984. Since then, Grönemeyer has established himself as one of Germany’s best selling acts: All his following records went straight to number one of the german music charts. His album “Mensch” from 2002 was sold more than 7.3 Million times and became the most selling album of german music history.
